The Blackwood Football Club hits the road for the third week in a row travelling to Echunga to play the Demons in Round 12 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League.

The Woods will be looking to secure win number six of 2022 facing the Demons for the ninth time since they returned to the competition in 2014. Across the eight matches played both sides have won on four occasions including the Woods winning the last two by 27 points in Round 12 of 2019 and by 18 points in Round 8 of 2021.

In the most recent encounter between the sides back in Round 3, the Woods lead at all changes to record an 18-point victory at the final siren with Matt Tuck booting four goals up forward and Ryan Dijksman being named best player.

The fixture marks a special occasion with the celebration of Indigenous culture with an Indigenous Round celebration taking place including a Welcome to Country performance by Courtney Hebberman a local Peramangk woman before the bounce of the A Grade Men’s match.
