The Blackwood Football Club has named a extended squad its clash against Echunga in Round 12 of the Hills Football League Women’s competition.
Facing the Demons away from home, Blackwood will be looking to secure win number eight of the season and sure up a top three position on the ladder. In the previous encounter between the sides back in Round 3, the Woods were lead by star forward Brie Medder who booted six goals as the side ran out 85 points winners. Paris Francis was named best player while Tyler Attiwill, Jamie Lunn, Medder, Annie Boyd and Saraid Kustermann also caught the eye out of the coaching staff featuring in the better players.
Speaking at selection Thursday evening, coach Damien Venning said the side was looking to put in a strong performance. “It is a great opportunity for the team this weekend to test ourselves against the a strong competition in Echunga.”
