The BFC Committee of Management is calling for Expressions of Interest for positions on the Committee for 2024.
Whilst all positions are declared vacant at the AGM and nominations are called for to fill the vacancies, the current committee is seeking expressions of interest for roles that are known to become vacant, due to retiring members that are not seeking re-election and for one other position.
These positions are:
Sponsorship Director
Treasurer
Junior Football Director
Vice President
The position roles and responsibilities are available to assist with knowing what is entailed and further explanation and information can be discussed with the current committee member. It is important the committee feels, to give time for consideration and a smooth transition into next year, before the AGM and whilst things are still current.
All Committee of Management positions are vital to be filled, as the Club would find it very difficult to continue to provide the structure to enable the Club to be successful and to grow as it has over the past years. There is a 5 Year Plan being developed, which will make it an exciting opportunity to be a part of, in building that success.
Please consider carefully if you have the skills and interest in one of these positions and it would be great to see some “new faces with new ideas” on the committee next year!
Personal competencies that make a good and valuable Committee member –
- Has a good understanding of the Club, its values and culture.
- Supports fellow committee members and BFC Members
- Acts as an advocate for the Club, the BFC and BFC Committee
- Teamwork: Can work constructively in a team environment.
- Initiative and enterprise: Thinks about the bigger picture and the future of the BFC and develop improvements.
- Encouraging, bright, enthusiastic, positive – contributors
Each Committee position will still require a nomination form to be submitted.
Nominations will close November 30th – 7 days before the advised AGM date of 2023. Nominations are to be placed in the Ballot Box in the Clubrooms or posted to: PO Box 69, Blackwood SA 5051
