Our new coaches box was officially opened during the Round 1 clash between Blackwood and Mt Barker last Saturday.
A project which has been in the pipeline for many years was finally realised during the off-season. Constructed by Blackwood Building & Maintenance, the new coaches box will give our coaches and officials an elevated view of the oval. This will provide a different insight to the game and allow for a better coaching experience on game day and also at training.

The windows have been installed. It’s almost complete.
The box was officially opened by members of parliament Nicolle Flint (Federal member for Boothby), Sam Duluk (State member for Davenport) along with club president, Jason Burns.

The view from inside
Without a doubt all coaches, officials, trainers and players will be a happy with the new box come winter. It will be much dryer and warmer than the old red brick one. It’s a great asset for the club to have.
