5 players are set to pull on the Red & the Green of the Blackwood Football Club for the first time in Round 1 against Mt Barker this weekend.
The players lined up to make their senior debuts for the club are:
#8 Nick Homburg
Recruited from West Adelaide. Has played 39 league games kicking 15 goals. Adds speed, class and great skills to the side. One to watch.
#13 Mitch Smith
Played for the North Adelaide Under 18s last season. Previously from the Southern Flinders Football Club before moving to Adelaide where he attended Blackwood High School. Quick with good skills and sound decision making.
#19 Ryder Tatarelli
A local product graduating from the senior colts class of 2016. Has previous been down with West Adelaide. Can play at both ends of the ground.
#20 Ben Papps
Moved over the gorge from the Flagstaff Hill Falcons during the pre-season. Has played 86 senior games for the Falcons in which he kicked 112 goals. Has a booming kick and knows how to kick a goal from anywhere inside the forward 50 arc.
# Bailey Badcoe
Another local product moving up from the senior colts class of 2016. Has been down at West Adelaide over the previous years. Good ball user with sound decision making.
