Round 5 of the Hills Football League sees more milestones in the seniors. The following players have milestones this upcoming weekend:

Sam Fotheringham

The 24 year-old plays his 100th senior game for the club after moving from Flagstaff Hill to Blackwood in 2009 to play Senior Colts alongside school mates. Known as a quiet individual in the group, he made his A-Grade debut in Round 8 of 2010 against Lobethal. In that game he kicked one goal and the side won by 86 points. He played 3 more A Grade games in that season, all of them being wins.

Sam has added some trophies to the cabinet during his senior career at Blackwood including the 2011, 2012 and 2015 B Grade premierships, the 2014 C Grade Best & Fairest as well as the 2016 B Grade Best & Fairest from only 7 games. A breakdown of his 99 senior games shows:

– 46 A Grade games (17 wins, 29 losses, 13 goals)

– 43 B Grade games (40 wins, 3 losses, 19 goals)

– 10 C Grade games (5 wins, 5 loss, 3 goals)

– Total – 99 games (62 wins, 37 losses, 35 goals)

Denam Moore

Another junior product of the club, Denam plays his 100th senior game this weekend after making the move down the hill from Ironbank to Blackwood in the season of 2010. He was lucky enough to be involved in the 2011 Senior Colt premiership side which only lost one game for the season.

The 23 year-old made his senior debut in 2012 in the B Grade against Mt Lofty, a game which they won by 135 points. He then had to work hard in the B Grade for a couple of seasons before making his A Grade debut in Round 2 of 2014 against Hahndorf at Hahndorf Oval. A breakdown of the 99 senior games Denam has played shows:

– 3 A Grade games (1 win, 2 losses, 1 goal)

– 89 B Grade games (72 wins, 17 losses, 23 goals) (Including 2014 and 2015 premierships)

– 7 C Grade games (6 wins, 1 loss, 0 goals)

– Total – 99 games (79 wins, 20 losses, 24 goals)

Congratulations lads! Hopefully we see you in the Red & the Green for another 100 games.
