Round 6 of the Hills Football League sees Brad Jones play his 150th senior match for the Blackwood Football Club. The 26 year old is a junior of the club starting in the junior colts back in 2005. He progressed through to the senior colts where in 2007 he made his senior debut in the B Grade. He played two more B Grade games in his final year of senior colts in 2008. Currently Brad is one of only 4 players remaining from his 2008 senior colt group.

Brad progressed to the seniors ranks full time in 2009 where he made his A Grade debut in Round 1 against Mt Lofty. He retained his place in the side playing all 21 A Grade games that season. Since then he has played most of his games in the A Grade securing a position in the last few seasons’ as one of the key members of the formidable back six.

Some of the highlights from his 149 games include playing in the 2012 B Grade premiership team in which he also won the HFL Mail Medal from only 9 games. Another highlight was in 2011 when he kicked the winning goal in the dying seconds of the game against Hahndorf in Round 2.

A breakdown of the 149 matches he has played to date shows:

–  A Grade: 131 games (77 wins, 54 losses, 44 goals, 30 times in the best players)

–  B Grade: 18 games (13 wins, 5 losses, 10 goals, 5 times in the best players)

Outside of playing football for the Mighty Woods, he is a Tiler by trade, can’t live without Soundcloud on his phone and follows the NBA and MMA closely.
