Round 4 of the Hills Football Leagues sees 3 senior players reach game milestones for the Blackwood Football Club. The players reaching milestones include:

50 Games – Michael Minuzzo

The 23 year-old is a junior product of the club starting back in 2007 in the Country Division under 14’s under coach Brett Matthew. The talented player then moved down to West Adelaide to apply his trade in the Under 18s and Reserves. ‘Nuz’ then moved back to the Woods making his A-Grade debut in Round 10 of 2013 against Hahndorf where he kicked 2 goals and was named 5th best in an 18 point victory over the Magpies. He has since gone on to play another 48 games (all in the A-Grade) and has kicked 47 goals in this time. Congratulations Michael.

100 Games – James Catford

Another junior product of the club, the 24 year-old first played senior colts for the club midway through the Season of 2010 after breaking his arm in a senior trial against Noarlunga earlier in that year. The following season he made his A Grade debut in Round 2 against Hahndorf at Hahndorf Oval. Since then the midfielder-forward has kicked 53 goals in his 99 senior games and is the current vice-captain of the A-Grade. Congratulations James.

200 Games – Chad Simmons

The 37 year-old club stalwart has finally reached the 200 games mark after making his debut in 2006 for the club. A player who is capable of playing in any position on the ground, Simmo is a respected member of the football club captaining the B-Grade to 5 premierships in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015. He also won the B-grade leading goal kicker awards in 2014 with 53 goals. Congratulations on joining the 200 club Chad!
