As part of our Clubs involvement in engaging with our members and the community and to provide positive assistance and support where possible, we have arranged an evening covering the important area of Suicide Prevention

Suicide affects us all either directly or indirectly.

It is a community concern and looking at the number of recent news articles on the subject – a very important issue in our thinking.

What can be done to prevent someone taking their own life?

Rob O’Sullivan is the inaugural chairperson of the newly formed “Out of the Blue” Suicide Prevention Network in the City of Mitcham and he invites you to hear his lived experience and discuss some strategies that may help you.

Adam Clay from SA Health is a Senior Project Officer in Suicide Prevention and will speak on how men can take action.

The details on the event are as follows:

  • Date: Thursday 3rd August
  • Time: 6.15pm to 7.00pm

All club members, family and friends are invited to attend this presentation and we trust it may make a difference one day, with the knowledge gained.
