After a long pre-season, Round 1 has arrived. Saturday the 1st of April see us host our first game of the season. We are playing Mt Barker. It will be a huge day with games starting from 8.45am.

The day will also see us unveil our new coaches box which has been a major project for the club.

A Grade match preview

With this being the first game of the season for all sides, gauging how well everyone will play is a tough challenge. Mt Barker finished the 2016 season in 5^th place on the ladder but fell out of finals in the first week with a loss to Uraidla. They have had a change in coach over the off-season and will turn up expecting to play well.

The Woods finished last season as big improvers in the competition getting knocked out in the Preliminary Final by Torrens Valley. It has been a tough pre-season with plenty of fitness and skill work being put in place by the coaches. The side will go in confident looking to improve on last seasons results

Over the past 6 matches dating back to the 2013 season, the Woods have a 5 and 1 record against the Barkeroos. The only defeated came away in Round 18 of 2016. The side will be looking to kick the season off in a good fashion recording a victory before two weeks off with a Bye and the Easter break to come.
