The Blackwood Football Club would like to congratulate Henry Smith who has been drafted by the Brisbane Lions in Wednesday evening’s 2020 NAB AFL draft.
Commencing his junior career for the Woods in the Under 13s in 2012, Smith developed his game across four seasons playing 92 games in which he kicked 34 goals and was named in the best players on 25 occasions (27.2 percent).
He was part of the the successful Mini Colts premiership in 2015 being awarded second best player whilst in his last junior game for Blackwood in 2018 he claimed the 2018 Junior Colts premiership lead by then coach Matt Waldron. Smith was named third best player in that game.
Since 2019, Smith has piled his trade for the Woodville-West Torrens Football Club playing 23 matches, kicking 19 goals and being named in the best players on 5 occasions.
