The Blackwood Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Sam Venning for the 2021 season. Venning joins the Woods having previous played for the Glenelg, South Adelaide and the Adelaide Crows in the SANFL and Brighton Bombers in the Adelaide Football League.
Since 2010, the 29 year-old has 139 games of experience under his belt where he has kicked 51 goals (0.37 per game) and been named in the best players 28.1 percent of games. This including being apart of the 2017 Premiership side for the Brighton Bombers which he was named third best player in the victory over Golden Grove.
Along with his strong playing history, Venning brings coaching and leadership ability being involved as a teacher and coach in the Henley High School football program.
