The Blackwood Football Club has named Troy Hocking and Sam Zevenboom to make their A Grade debuts in Round 5 of the Hills Football League, the fifth and sixth players to make their A Grade debuts for the Woods in 2020.

Both Hocking and Zevenboom are juniors of the club having graduated from the 2019 Senior Colts group with Hocking being the 2019 Senior Colts Mail Medallist whilst ruckman Zevenboom piled his trade at the Double Blues for most of the 2019 season leading the Under 18’s competition in hit outs with 512 for the season (28.4 per match).

In other A Grade selection news, Issac McCormick and James Hopton return to the line up with Hopton coming in for his first A Grade match of 2020.

In the twos, Daniel Lowe has been forced to make five changes once again with Ethan Dinning, Jonathan Grimes, Mark Reynolds, Luca Stocks and Josh Tainton coming into the selected squad. For Stocks, it will be his first B Grade game for the club having been a part of the 2019 C Grade premiership side.

For the Senior Colts, they have named as extended 23-player squad with Jaxin Faehrmann, Nik Gacic, Bailey Pedro, Dylan Smith and Sam Tonkin returning to the side. The side will be trimmed on Friday afternoon with a strong squad selected for the clash against the top of the table Uraidla Districts side who are currently undefeated from their four matches.
