Members, players and supporters of the Blackwood Football Club are advised of the passing of one of our favourite sons: David ‘STROP’ Simes
Strop started playing at the Woods in the Under 18s and continued on through to the A Grade playing exactly 100 senior games where his highight was playing in the 1988 A Grade Premiership. A high flying, long kicking star Strop played predominantly Centre Half Forward or Full Forward and represented the Hills in many Association teams.
Our thoughts are with his father John, brothers Paul, Jeffery and Mark and their families at this time .
A very proud club man love by all.
