Dear Blackwood Football Club Family,
As you know there is a special meeting on Friday May 28th 2021.
The committee is nominated to represent the club in a professional and non-bias way. The 2021 committee is made of eleven Club volunteers.
At the last 2 consecutive AGM’s, the topic of League affiliation has come up from members.
The committee listens to its members who bring up concerns at an AGM and in turn will facilitate any discussion around those concerns. The committee have received and provided information in relation to the pros and cons relating to affiliation with the both the HFL and ADFL. We have and continue to welcome any discussion by way of email to the president@blackwoodfootballclub.com.au
On the information provided from members and a sub-committee, the Committee have voted in favour of proceeding with a special general meeting.
We the committee have given notice for a special general meeting to our members to only vote on league affiliation for 2022 and beyond.
Please note discussion meeting night dates prior to the Special Meeting.
I will be at the Club in the members bar on Friday 14th May 5:30pm until 7pm to answer any questions regarding the process. There will be a questions and answers meeting night on Friday 21st May 6.30pm until 8.00pm with Adelaide Football League representatives to answer any questions you may have.
I encourage all members to direct their concerns and or questions in a constructive and mature manner.
