The Blackwood Football Club has made two changes to its line up for this weekend’s clash against the Magpies in Round 10 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League tomorrow afternoon.
The side welcomes speedster Moe Milsom and crafty utility River Moore into the squad with both players stepping up having played in the B Grade during Round 9 against the Bridgewater Raiders.
Speaking post selection coach Scott Prebble said the side was ready for the challenge this weekend. “We have had a good start in the opening half of the season but aren’t looking to rest laurels. We have recovered well over the last week and are ready for the hit out this Saturday.”
In the B Grade, Daniel Lowe’s side has four changes with Bailey Badcoe, Jackson Ratcliffe-Miller, Zac Town and Peter Wishart coming into the selected squad. The side will be looking to secure their sixth victory on the trot and the first win over the Mapgies since Round 17 2017 (1,399 days ago). In the previous encounter in Round 1, the Woods lead by 20 points at half time but were over-run by the Magpies to lose by six points at the final siren.
The C Grade has named a squad of 25 players to face the Flinders Park Football Club at home on Saturday morning. The side will be looking to secure their sixth victory of the season and will be looking to atone for the Round 1 result where Flinders Park secured a 96 point victory.
