The Blackwood Football Club has named four inclusions (including one A Grade debut) the clash against the Barkeroos in Round 11 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League on Saturday afternoon.

Selected to make his A Grade debut for the Woods is Jordon Cock, the ninth player to date to make their debut for the Woods in Season 2021. A junior player of the club, Cock has been applying his trade at the Double Blues for the past two seasons in the Under 18s and this season the reserves where he has played six games.

Other inclusions for the match are Evan Johnson, Zac Town and Jan Warbout. For Johnson and Warbout they return having missed last weekend whilst Town comes in for his first A Grade game of the season.

Speaking post-selection coach Scott Prebble said the team was looking to bounce back after last weeks result. “We had a good debrief of the game on Tuesday and have worked on several areas during the week. We are looking forward to bouncing back and playing the Blackwood way.”

In the B Grade, Daniel Lowe has made three changes with James Hopton, Moe Milsom and River Moore coming into the selected squad which is looking to get back into the winners list having gone down by 3 points in a nail biter against Hahndorf last weekend.

The C Grade has named a full strength squad of 25 players for its clash against Gaza on Saturday morning at Klemzig Oval. After a much improved performance against competition leaders Flinders Park last weekend the side will be looking forward to a strong display against the Eagles this weekend.
