The Woods are back at KX Pilates Blackwood Oval this Saturday in our final home game of the 2022 season.
In the penultimate round which also features the final Axemen’s Luncheon of the season, the fifth-placed Woods host the third-placed Barkeroos with a victory for the Woods securing a final birth.
In the previous matchup between the sides back in Round 8, the Woods were behind the eight ball from the first bounce trailing by 16 points at the quarter break. On the wide expanses of Summit Park, the Woods ended up succumbing by 78 points at the final siren with Jak Baldissera leading the way booting three goals while Rhys Sporn was awarded best player.
Blackwood will look to continue its good record over the Barkeroos at the venue where in the 15 matches between sides at the venue since 2006, Blackwood have come away singing the song on 10 occasions (66.67 percent) including a run of six successive between 2014 and 2019. In the most recent match between the sides at the venue, Blackwood suffered an 18-point loss with Mat Tee booting three majors and Oscar Hodge being awarded best player.
