Blackwood has made four changes to its squad to face the Mt Lofty in Round 2 of the Hills Football League at KX Pilates Blackwood Oval.

Coming into the line up to face the Devils are Bailey Badcoe, Mark Reynolds, Jan Warbout and Sam Zevenboom. For Badcoe and Reynolds they step having played in the B Grade during Round 1 whilst Warbout and Zevenboom are set to play their first matches of 2022 having missed last weekend.

Senior Coach Scott Prebble said the side was looking to build on last weekend game. “We were very competitive in patches throughout the match against Lobethal. We did a thorough video review of the game and identified plenty of positives in our game and the way we want to play. We also looked over areas of improvement taking that into our training sessions during the week.”

“We are looking to taking on the Devils this Saturday afternoon in front of our loyal supporters and followers.”

For the reserves, Daniel Lowe has made six changes to the squad with Jak Baldissera, Nik Gacic, Luke Hocking, Evan Johnson, Ryan McMurtrie and Matt McNaught named to play their first game of the season.

In the C Grade, a squad of 22 players has been named for the opening match of the season against Milang. The match is being held at KX Pilates Blackwood Oval tonight from 7.30pm. Since the 2010 season, the Woods have faced the Panthers on 22 occasions winning 100 percent of matches with an average winning margin of 60.8 points

In the 18s, coach Daryl Sowerby has named a squad of 22 players with Paul Brown, Charlie Eldridge and Maksim Maclean playing for the first time in Season 2022.
