The Blackwood Women’s side recorded its second win on the trot defeating the Hahndorf Football Club by 83 points on Sunday afternoon at KX Pilates Blackwood Oval.

In a dominate display the Woods kicked their fourth highest score in history (84 points) never giving the Magpies a chance as they took control of the match from the outset kicking two goals from seven scoring shots in the first quarter.

The Woods side entered the match with a Boyd show as the three sisters lined up together in the red and green for the first time.

With Beth Sigley back from West Adelaide, the Woods dominated the midfield battle through the likes of Kelly Whitehead and Paris Francis who picked up multiple touches.

Running over the top of the Magpies in the second half, the Woods kicked nine second half goals as star forward Brieanna Medder booted four majors to take her season tally to 14 majors.

Beth Sigley was named best player for her efforts in the ruck while Gretel Ramsey, Brieanna Medder, Tayla Zuvich, Kelly Whitehead, Scarlett Griffiths all caught the praise of the coaching staff featuring in the better players.

The victory sees the Woods sit in third position on the ladder percentage clear of the Barkeroos in fourth.
