Blackwood have named a strong extended squad for this weekend’s Women’s match against Echunga this Sunday at KX Pilates Blackwood Oval.
The Woods will be looking to chalk up win number two against the Demons who have had competitive matches against Mt Barker and the Iron-Swans in the opening two matches of the season.
Named in the team are possible debutants Abbie Butler (joining the Woods via West Adelaide/Flagstaff Hill) and Paris Francis (joining via West Adelaide) while Scarlett Griffiths, Saraid Kustermann and Beth Sigley also return from Bloods duties. Juliette Brusic, Tia Fox, Taylah Jayne and Jamie Lunn have also been listed having missed last round.
Speaking at selection Thursday evening, coach Damien Venning said the side was looking to put in a strong performance. “We had a tough games against the competition leading Devils the previous week. We look forward to facing newcomers the Demons at KX Pilates Oval. Lets get a big crowd to support the side.”
For the Under 17s, coach Simon Manser has named a squad of 20 players to face the Mt Lofty Devils for the second time in as many games. The side side will be looking to secure victory number three for the season with the first bounce from 12.00pm.
