The Blackwood Football Club has made one change to its line-up for this Saturday’s Preliminary Final clash against the Hahndorf Mapgies and Echunga Oval. Coming into the side is Matt Waldron who has missed the past two matches having last played in Round 9 against Mt Barker. Waldron takes the place of exciting youngster Isaac McCormick who will miss the match with a leg injury.
Speaking at selection on Thursday evening, coach Ryan Anderson said the team was excited for the challenge this weekend. “It’s not often you get to play in a preliminary final, the boys are very excited for the challenge against Hahndorf this weekend. I have no doubt we will bring our best effort like we have over the last few weeks. If we can do that, the results should take care of themselves.”
In the Junior Colts, coach Adam Torode has named a 25 player squad for the match against the Nairne Bremer Rams with Eddie Bok, Tom Buyn, Archer Byrne, Harry Chaplin, Kyan Eagleton, Seb Erbsland, Harry Lemmey and Michael Thompson coming into the selected side this weekend. The last time the sides met was in the Qualifying Final with the Woods recording a 21 point victory with Will Torode booting two goals and Archer Byrne being named best player.
