April the 1st provided the perfect setting for Ladies Day 2017 at the Blackwood Football Club.
Despite a clash with a 40th birthday party, well over 60 ladies were in attendance. It was great to see so many players girlfriends, wives and mums in attendance. Much to the ladies delight, Blackwood ran out winners over Mt Barker, 13.10.88 to 10.5.65. It was a big day for the club with the opening of the new coaches box by members of parliament, Nicolle Flint and Sam Duluk.
The food provided for the day was amazing, put together by club legends Phil and Tina Wake. Thanks also to Georgie Day, Alyshia Cock and Isobelle Ghee plus the senior players who were on hand to deliver the scrumptious nibbles with the ever reliable Theressa Warburton pouring champagne for the afternoon.
What a fantastic start to the social calendar for Season 2017.
