We’re back at home this weekend hosting the Hahndorf Football Club in Round 7 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League.
The Woods will be looking the bounce back from the Round 7 defeat against the Rams coming up against the ladder leading Magpies. Since 2006, the Woods have played the Mapgies 37 times with a 40.54 percent winning record. This includes a record of winning only four of the last 24 and a run nine successive losses. The last victory over the Magpies was the now famous 2017 premiership victory where the Woods defeated the Mapgies by four points at Lobethal Oval.
To date in 2022, the Magpies currently sit in first place on the ladder having won their opening six matches by an average of 46 points. Across the matches, they are the second ranked attack averaging 90.7 points per match and best defence ranked defence conceding only 44.3 points. They have kicked in excess of 100 points in three of six matches with 17 players kicking at least one goal and the ‘Coopers’ leading the way with Cooper Nykamp kicking 19 goals and Cooper Hough 12 while Joel Leake and Sam Hayden having featured in the better players on four occasions each.
