Blackwood have named an extended squad for this weekend’s game against Mt Barker at Hanson Oval.
In a Sunday blockbuster, the sides will go head-to-head from 1.30pm on the traditional home of the Barkeroos at Howard Lane. Currently sitting third and fourth on the ladder (much like the Men’s side) the teams will be looking to establish themselves a game clear in the third position with both teams tied on 10 points after six matches.
Speaking at selection Thursday evening, coach Damien Venning said the side was looking to put in a strong performance. “It is a big game for us this weekend against Mt Barker. We will be looking to play a solid four quarter performance and come away with the win.”
