After two weekend’s enforced rest through COVID-19, football returns when we travel to play the Lobethal Football Club in Round 16 of the 2021 Police Credit Union Hills Football League.

Football returns under the gradual easing of restrictions with the following protocols in play for ALL matches this weekend:

  • Maximum of 1,000 spectators permitted (density permitting at 1 person per 2sqm)
  • ALL SPECTATORS attending outdoor sporting events MUST WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES (unless eating or drinking). This applies to all areas of the venue, both inside and outside
  • Density of 1 person per 2sqm (changerooms, match day areas such as coaches boxes, licenced venue etc)
  • Density of 1 person per 4sqm for gyms/indoor fitness facilities/licensed areas
  • Existing mask wearing conditions continue (licenced venues, shared public spaces, workplaces etc)
  • Singing restrictions remain in place (no club songs indoors)
  • Seated consumption remains (indoors & outdoors)
  • Maintaining 1.5m apart where possible must be observed
  • QR Code and Manual Check In Systems in place
  • Presence of COVID Marshals
  • “Get In/Get Out” should be observed where possible
  • Thorough cleaning and sanitisation must occur before and after each training/match day including spot cleaning of changerooms in between user groups, and cleaning of equipment
  • Hygiene and testing protocols previously implemented will still apply (including no shared drink bottles, lolly bowls etc)

The Blackwood Football Club do not make these rules, in particular the spectator rules and this is a State Government requirement and we simply advising everyone of the current rules we need to adhere to.

Whilst you might not be able to attend the venue at Lobethal (if you do not fall in the above guidelines) you will still be able to watch the A Grade match with the Call of the Wild team broadcasting the match. Live coverage starts from 2pm.
